The facility is wheelchair accessible with ample free parking, and in addition to our various sized meeting rooms, the historic chapel is ideal for large meetings or more formal occasions such as weddings or other ceremonies.
Revenues from events, weddings, and ceremonies at the Monterey Bay Event Center support Goodwill programs that provide workforce development services to individuals facing barriers to employment.

Surrounded by cypress and eucalyptus trees on the historic Fort Ord Campus between Monterey and Santa Cruz, our event center provides a peaceful and inspiring setting for generating ideas, motivating your team, or just bringing people together.
We offer three meeting facilities and an onsite culinary school to serve your guests. Host a smaller group in one of our two more intimate spaces, or seat up to 125 guests in our main conference room. We provide tables and chairs as well as a microphone and projector.
Weddings & Ceremonies
The historic chapel at our event center is an unforgettable setting for the most important day of your life. The chapel’s classic architecture is a charming backdrop for wedding photos. The interior features beautiful wood paneling, a vaulted ceiling, and rows of large, sunny windows.
This intimate, traditional venue is a perfect fit for small weddings and those looking for a memorable day with little stress. Right next door to the chapel is a reception hall and dance floor, so you and your guests can continue the celebration without worrying about transportation.
Our experienced staff will assist you in finding a minister, flowers, music, and photographer, and our onsite culinary school can provide the wedding cake, dinner, and appetizers.
The chapel features an open floor plan so you can set up the space with tables for a large rehearsal dinner for 125 guests or arrange the chairs in rows for the ceremony.
Renting our chapel for your special day is an affordable and beautiful choice. The chapel is also a great space for other formal ceremonies and celebrations such as quinceañeras and banquets.
